MMIP Community Healing

Services

Our organization's efforts are centered on advocating for justice, supporting families, and raising awareness to ensure missing and murdered Indigenous people are not forgotten.

Murdered, Missing Indigenous People - MMIP is dedicated to providing essential support, advocacy, and counseling services for missing and murdered Indigenous individuals and their families. Our mission is to raise awareness, educate the public, and work towards sustainable solutions that address the crisis faced by Indigenous communities. Through our initiatives, we strive to empower families, honor the memory of the missing and murdered, and create a brighter, safer future for Indigenous peoples.

We believe in the power of community, support, and cultural preservation to bring about positive change. By standing together, advocating for justice and equality, and honoring the voices of those we have lost, we strive to create a world where every Indigenous person is valued, protected, and free from violence.

When we come together in a culturally appropriate trauma-informed space with humility and sensitivity we can make the changes necessary to improve the safety and circumstances for generations to come.

We welcome participation in all BMMIP activities from all nationalities and neighboring communities, both off and on reservations. Our services are free of charge because our team believes every person is important and no task is too large.

EDUCATIONAL

Educational Training Events

We are committed to increasing awareness and prevention of human trafficking through educational training events. These sessions aim to equip participants with vital knowledge about recognizing, responding to, and preventing trafficking activities. By providing practical resources and foster collaboration, we can better protect vulnerable populations and support victims.

Our training events are designed for a diverse audience, including community members, law enforcement, service providers, educators, and youth groups. Through interactive workshops and expert-led discussions, participants will gain insights into trafficking indicators, reporting procedures, and available resources.

We believe that education is a powerful tool in combating human trafficking. We invite you to join us in these important efforts to create safer, informed communities.

URBAN SEARCH PARTIES

All of our volunteers are certified in outreach.

We help bring home missing loved ones when no one else is willing, whether the vulnerable person has walked away from a treatment facility or group home, or it is suspected that they have been abducted and harmed.

We have created a detailed document to help families and friends and community members to act quickly, safely, and efficiently in the event a loved one has gone missing.
